Terms of sale
These terms apply when you buy photos from our online galleries. Please read them before you pay.
1. About us
LWP Search is run by Liam Winters, a sole trader trading as LW Photography. You can contact us at privacy@lw-photo.co.uk.
2. What you're buying
You're buying a digital copy of one or more event photos, together with a personal licence to use them (section 7). You're not buying the copyright, which stays with LW Photography.
Some galleries also offer photo packages, such as all your photos from an event. What each package includes is shown before you pay.
3. Prices
Prices are shown in pounds sterling at checkout. We're not VAT registered, so no VAT is added. The price you see before you pay is the price you pay, apart from any optional extras you choose, such as WhatsApp delivery.
4. Paying
Payments are handled securely by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details. Your order is confirmed once your payment has gone through.
5. Getting your photos
Straight after payment we email you a download link. Your link works for 30 days, so please download your photos within that time.
If you chose WhatsApp delivery, we also send your photos to the mobile number you gave us. WhatsApp delivery is an optional paid extra, and the fee is shown before you pay.
If you have any trouble downloading, email us and we'll help.
6. Refunds and your right to cancel
All digital orders are delivered instantly once your payment has been processed. At checkout, you ask for immediate delivery and confirm you understand you lose your 14-day right to cancel once your download starts. So we don't give refunds if you change your mind.
Picked a photo that turns out not to be you? Email us and we'll do our best to help, usually by swapping it for the right photo from the same event. Swaps are at our discretion and don't include a refund.
This doesn't affect your rights in section 8.
7. How you can use your photos
You can:
- keep them, and print them for yourself, family and friends
- share them on your own social media
You can't:
- sell them, or use them for any business or advertising purpose
- remove or alter any copyright information
- claim them as your own work
If you'd like to use a photo commercially, email us and we'll talk about a licence.
8. If something's wrong with your order
If we send you the wrong photo, or a photo won't download or is damaged, email us and we'll send you a working copy of the right photo. If we can't, we'll refund you for that photo.
9. Charity contributions
Some events support a charity. Where they do, checkout shows you which charity and how much of your payment goes to it, before you pay. The charity and amount can differ from event to event.
10. Our responsibility to you
We're responsible for losses you suffer that are a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to take reasonable care. We're not responsible for losses that weren't foreseeable, or for business losses. Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility where it would be unlawful to do so.
11. Complaints
If you're unhappy with anything, email privacy@lw-photo.co.uk and we'll reply within 14 days.
12. The law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts.
